Recently, I had the pleasure of taking a couple on a backcountry camping adventure on the Golden Ears summit trail. This couple had already been married for 7 years, but they wanted to document this special moment in their lives with their furry friend, who joined us for the hike.
The Golden Ears summit trail is a challenging hike, with a length of approximately 24km and an elevation gain of over 1,500m. But for this adventurous couple, the challenge was well worth it. We set out mid-day, eager to capture the stunning sunset views from the top of the mountain.
As we hiked, I snapped candid photos of them, at the summit we spend time doing a proper photo session and then it was back to candid photos of them setting up camp and preparing dinner.
The next morning, we woke up before sunrise to capture even more breathtaking photos. I noticed a cool peak in the distance, and we couldn't resist the urge to explore. Every time I thought we had reached the perfect spot for photos, there was another amazing view just a little further.
We finished our morning exploration by a serene alpine lake that no trail goes to. It was just the three of us in the midst of nature's beauty. It was an unforgettable experience, and I was thrilled to capture these special moments for them.
